Friends of Military Ridge Trail

Our Mission

The mission of the Friends of Military Ridge Trail is to promote and enhance Military Ridge State Trail use for the enjoyment of hikers, bikers, runners, snowmobilers, and skiers. We are committed to the preservation of the natural and historic aspects of the 40 mile trail that runs from Dodgeville to Fitchburg, Wisconsin.

Bikes For Kids Wisconsin
Support a great local organization by joining the Bikes for Kids Wisconsin Giving Tuesday Telethon & Virtual Auction! The Virtual Auction has already started and the Telethon livestreams on Tuesday, December 2nd from 10am to 4pm! Learn more here.

December 13th, 2025: Santa Cycle Rampage
Join the Wisconsin Bike Fed for a festive ride in Madison that brings hundreds of cyclists dressed as Santa (and elves, reindeer, and more!) to celebrate the holiday season. Learn more here.

January 12th, 2026: Friends Public Meeting
Join us at 5:30 p.m. at the Blue Mound State Park Friends Shelter. State park stickers are not required to attend.
