Dairyland Dare

On August 12, 2017, up to 1500 bicycle crusaders will depart onto the roads of Iowa County in southwestern Wisconsin.   For more information or to volunteer, click here.

Members of the Friends of Military Ridge Trail are among those who have helped direct riders.

The Horribly Hilly Hundreds is a bicycle event that starts and ends at Blue Mounds State Park.   This is a fundraiser for the Friends of Blue Mound State Park (FBMSP)

For general information about the event:

Once voted the "Sufferfest of the Year" by Madison weekly newspaper Isthmus, "The Toughest One-Day Challenge Ride in the Midwest" is not to be missed by serious riders anywhere.

Friends of Military Ridge Trail provide a respite station for the bikers at a park in Black Earth.   Snacks, energy drinks, and a cool down spray with the hose are
offered to hot, tired bikers.
Click here to go to the volunteer sign-up page.

Groups with DNR Permits to Use Trail

School groups, senior citizen groups, and other community groups can apply to the Wisconsin DNR for permission to use the trail at a specific time.  Click here for more information.
